It's an ideal destination for groups of friends or families where everyone might not be at the same skiing level. The lift queues never get too long, and the snow reliability is good, with snow cannons available. A lift pass for Bormio also covers nearby ski areas.

While you can't ski between the resorts, it's easy to travel around by bus or car. Nearby ski areas are within a short drive. If you're interested in cross-country skiing, there are trails starting from Bormio. For snowboarding enthusiasts, there's a snowpark available.

There are also opportunities for night skiing at select locations.
