Trips to Carovigno

Brindisi is located in Apulia, in southern Italy. The city has one of the country's most important ports, and from here you can easily take a ferry to several destinations across the strait.

Beautiful sandy and pebble beaches are scattered along the coast. Just 20 km from the city lies one of the most remarkable natural areas in the region: Riserva Statale Torre Guaceto. This reserve features a lovely sandy beach, rock formations, and lush meadows with a diverse array of flora and fauna, both marine and terrestrial. It's a great place for a scenic walk, lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun, and swimming in the turquoise clear sea.

Brindisi was conquered by the Romans in 267 BC, who established the first main road connecting Rome and Brindisi, linking the Roman Empire. Thanks to its history, there is much to see. The Castello Rosso (Red Castle), named after the distinctive red stone it's built from, is worth a visit. Brindisi also boasts several ancient churches, including the Church of San Giovanni al Sepolcro, with its beautiful and decorative marble portal.

The area offers plenty of excellent restaurants serving delicious traditional dishes. Olive oil production has ancient traditions here, and the wine production is also noteworthy.
