Piemonte

This is a place for those who love beautiful nature, delicious food, and wonderful wines. The vineyards are countless, and Piemonte is widely known as one of Italy’s most famous wine regions. We've gathered our selection under the name Piemonte to provide you with an easy overview to find what you're looking for.

Many Beautiful Towns and Provinces

Piemonte boasts numerous towns worth visiting. Turin, for instance, is a delightful city with great shopping, cafes, and restaurants. If you are interested in history and culture, you have come to the right place. The city retains traces of its Roman city structure, with perpendicular streets. The city is divided into neighborhoods, each with its unique charm. Around Turin, beautiful monasteries and castles can be found. There's also an Egyptian museum, one of the most important of its kind. Be sure to visit Quartiere Romano, Turin's oldest neighborhood, founded in 28 BC by Emperor Augustus.

Alessandria is a picturesque province with beautiful nature and ancient castles. Like other provinces in Piemonte, it produces many fine wines. Acqui Terme is a pleasant and serene town with a typical Italian atmosphere, filled with shops, bars, and restaurants. The town is also known for its hot springs. In Acqui Terme, there's a regional Enoteca located in Palazzo Robellini, where you can find all the wines from Piemonte. It's an excellent opportunity to taste and purchase some truly great wines.

Cuneo, at the heart of the famous Langhe area, is an inviting town with a charming historical center and medieval portals. The ancient church, Madonna del Bosco, dates back to 1198, the year the town was founded. The town is famous for its vast market held on Tuesdays, offering everything from clothing to local specialties.

Monforte d’Alba is a lively small town rich in history, located in the Langhe area, about 500 meters above sea level. Monforte is one of the region's key municipalities for the production of Barolo. There are various historical cellars, some picturesque and others luxurious.

Dogliani is a medieval town divided into two parts: Castello on the higher ground and il Borgo on the lower. The landscape around it is rich with vineyards. Dolcetto di Dogliani is one of the town’s most renowned wines.

Asti is possibly one of the most well-known areas in the region, particularly for its excellent wines like Asti Cinzano. In the old town center, you’ll find historical churches and buildings. There are many shops, bars, and restaurants. The surrounding landscape is beautifully rolling, with vineyards, small wineries, and medieval landmarks.

Beautiful Countryside

Vacationing in Piemonte is not only soothing for the soul and pleasing to the eye but also a gastronomic experience. The region is world-famous for its amazing wines and exquisite cuisine. If you stay in the city, be sure to take a trip to the countryside and visit one of the vineyards. The rolling landscape is diverse, with abundant hazelnut groves and vineyards. And the famous Nutella is produced by Ferrero, headquartered in Turin.
