Trips to Hamar

Why not take the opportunity to enjoy some sun and swimming in Hamar this summer? Close to the town is Lake Mjøsa, offering several delightful places for swimming. In the town center, Koigen beach is a lovely spot with a sandy shore, volleyball court, pier, and diving tower. Nearby, there's also a skate park, playground, and barbeque area.

Ankerskogen is a popular indoor swimming facility in the heart of the town, ideal for a fun water adventure for both young and old. It features a kiddie pool with a small slide for the youngest children, a deeper pool with a waterslide, climbing wall, water cannons, and waterfalls for the older kids, and a swimming pool for the adults.

Outside central Hamar, you'll find Lekeland 1, an indoor playland covering 1500 square meters with ball pits, climbing walls, and many more exciting activities for children aged 0-12.

If you'd prefer to spend your vacation in nature, a visit to Stubberud Farm is recommended. Here, a large number of fairy-tale characters have taken residence in the forest. These characters, carved from wood, are inspired by Norwegian folklore and can be discovered as you stroll through the lush woods. A half-hour drive from Hamar, Tangen Animal Park offers a chance for the whole family to experience nature and get up close with animals such as zebras, camels, monkeys, ostriches, and llamas.
