Trips to Hemsedal

Here are two ski areas – Hemsedal Ski Center with the three peaks Totten, Tinden, and Rogjin, as well as Solheisen Ski Center.

Alpine Skiing

The alpine facility is situated at high altitudes, ranging from 660 to 1,497 meters, ensuring early snow that lasts a long time. A significant portion of the facility is equipped with snow cannons. The 49 slopes offer varied skiing for all levels, from beginners to experts. A great excursion spot is the charming Solheisen ski resort, a few kilometers west.

Hemsedal is one of the few destinations with guaranteed snow from November to May, featuring at least 5 km of open slopes and an altitude difference of 710 meters.

Snowboarding

Hemsedal is reputed to be one of the best snowboarding areas in Europe, offering new challenges each season. The two large snowboard parks include features like halfpipes, big jumps, quarter pipes, and a funbox. There are also kilometers of challenging off-piste runs with deep snow.

Cross-Country Skiing

Hemsedal offers 130 km of groomed trails in the valley and 80 km of marked trails in the beautiful high mountain area. Check weather conditions before setting out on adventures in the highlands.

Family and Children's Activities

Egilskogen is a charming, enclosed area right by the ski center with plenty of skiing fun for children. There are fire pits and seating for the entire family. The little ones can enjoy indoor childcare while parents explore on their own. The family area spans 70,000 m² with 7 slopes, 6 lifts, 3 conveyor belts, snow play parks, small jumps, and more. Kids can also meet friendly characters like the Moose and the Lynx who wander around the children’s area for some playful encounters.

Activities Without Skis

Hemsedal is also known for its fine dining. Try, for instance, a meal at a hotel with stunning views. Take a snowmobile tour through the beautiful landscape or enjoy Hemsedal's fantastic ski show. There are also various children's activities available.

In Hemsedal, you can explore the popular Adventure Road by hiking or biking for incredible nature experiences.
