Germany's northern region, bordering Poland to the east, stretches down towards Berlin. This area boasts fantastic sandy beaches and well-preserved nature along the coasts. The beautiful islands of Rügen and Usedom are located here, along with fascinating cities like Rostock, Wismar, Schwerin, and Stralsund. A stunning lake district known as the "Mecklenburg Lake Plateau" attracts many tourists and extends southward into the next German state, Brandenburg. Our travel destination, Güstrow, is just south of Rostock and near Plau am See, located just north of this lake area.
