Trips to Playa de Mogan

Puerto de Mogán is a charming small fishing village on the southwestern side of Gran Canaria that has cautiously developed to accommodate tourism over the past few years. It has maintained its authentic character while allowing for modern construction without losing its traditional appeal.

Life revolves around the small harbor where colorful fishing boats, luxury yachts, and sailboats are based. The harbor area, with its small whitewashed alleys adorned with bougainvillea and buildings in Canarian style, serves as the heart of the village. The area is almost car-free, and the pace is much calmer compared to other places on the island. There are many pleasant outdoor cafés and excellent restaurants specializing in fish and seafood. Several bars are available, but you won't find any nightclubs in the area.

The small beach is located next to the center, is shallow, and consists of fine sand. For those wanting to explore, there are daily boat trips to other beaches. Puerto Rico and Amadores are only about 5 miles away and are easily accessible by local bus.

Every Friday, there's a market in the village that's definitely worth a visit. You might find unique items and maybe even the vacation's best bargain.
