Ribe is a mediaeval town with narrow cobbled streets and beautifully decorated buildings. Visit the cathedral and the Viking village that has been created just outside the town. Here you will find one of the most popular holiday villages in Denmark. It is famous for its high standards. The well-equipped homes suit this environment perfectly and are spruced up every year. There are playgrounds, a playroom and areas for ball games (football, basketball, pétanque). There is a free kids' club organised every Tuesday and Friday in July. A cafe with hot drinks, newspapers, magazines & games, and a library. You can hire canoes and bikes. A free barbecue area. The holiday village also has a sauna and a hot tub that you have to pay to use. The town has wonderful swimming baths (free entry) with several pools, a sauna, a wellness and spa centre, and a 42-metre water slide. There are restaurants and shops close by. It is only a 2-minute walk to the square in the heart of the village. You will receive a free 'Ribepas' pass, which gives you discounts for the many attractions in the town, including the Ribes Vikinger museum and the Wadden Sea Centre. It is approximately 60 km from the German border, where you can do some shopping before you go home. Note! The Legoland Park is closed on the following days in 2014: 7-11 April, 3-4 September, 10-11 September, 17-18 September, 24-25 September, 1-2 October and 7-8 October. Legoland opens for the season on 5 April and closes on 2 November 2014.
