Siena Province - the "classic" Tuscany

Aside from Florence, this is one of the provinces richest in attractions. This is partly due to the many medieval towns (with San Gimignano's long, narrow towers being the most exciting) and partly because a large part of the Chianti district is located in this province. Here you will find the famous wines from Montalcino and Montepulciano. You will also find wines from the "IL Gallo Nero" (the black rooster) area.

Siena, a city worth seeing

This medieval city is incredibly beautiful and pleasant, with its beautiful buildings and narrow alleys. The highlight of the year is the horse race "Il Palio." Here, the different districts compete with enthusiasm and joy against each other. The city boasts plenty of cozy bars, restaurants, and shopping.

Several beloved towns

The beautiful medieval town of Montalcino is highly appreciated. The town's castle, Il Castello di Montalcino, built in 1361, is still almost entirely intact. The last weekend of October hosts the Sagra del Tordo festival, followed by a full day of celebrations with parades. Many delicious wines are produced here, such as Brunello di Montalcino, Moscadello di Montalcino, and Rosso di Montalcino.

San Gimignano is a historical town known for its many towers. The town is rich in history and culture, attracting many tourists during the summer.

The province also features many other charming places worth visiting, such as Asciano, Poggibonsi, Castiglione d'Orcia, and San Quirico d'Orcia.
