In Vimmerby is also Astrid Lindgrens Näs, a playland, Astrid Lindgrens Värld, an outdoor swimming pool and many stores and restaurants. 300 m from the house is the lake Nyen, there is also your boat moored. In the lake you can swim and fish. The fishing license is included. Around the lake is a beautiful bike path.
